We have a reason to celebrate life every single day because the God we serve is alive. His resurrection power didn’t end on the cross 2000 years ago; His power is still at work today. Not only did He resurrect Jesus from the dead, but He wants to extend His resurrection power into every single area of your life, too.
Maybe you have a dream to get out of debt, pay off your house or be free from a burden of lack, but it looks impossible. Business is slow. The economy is down. You’ve gone as far as your education allows. But God is saying, “I’m not limited by those things. I’ve got resurrection power. I can give you one break that will thrust you to a new level. I can open up doors that no man can shut. I can bring talent out of you that you didn’t know you had. I can cause people to go out of their way to want to be good to you for no reason.”
Today, get your hopes up. Get your expectancy up. Remember, He is risen, and He is alive. There’s a shift coming, and He is faithful to His Word. Let His resurrection power flow in every area of your life!

We sang this in Chapel earlier this week, and it’s just been on my mind since then. It’s so beautiful.
The sun comes up
It’s a new day dawning
It’s time to sing Your song again
Whatever may pass, and whatever lies before me
Let me be singing when the evening comes
❤

Starting to feel the weight on your shoulders now, Nick?
Are you starting to realize that you’re not as well off as compared to others who can go for Salted Caramel every week, Nick?
Have you started to realize that you’re not capable to dress well like your other peers do, when you have to rely on your best friend’s wardrobe to feel slightly better about yourself, Nick?
Have you realized that you have never reach more than 1.1k in your savings, Nick?
Have you realized that you’re actually 21 already, Nick?
Have you realized that your eyebags and the fatigue are coming back to haunt you once again Nick?
.. Nick..?
We’re already in the second week of May and I’m appalled at how fast time flies, especially this year.
One year ago around this time, I was recuperating at Arthur’s place from my second episode of pneumothorax.
I’ve already planned nicely for everything, which turned out I couldn’t make it for any of the events:
• Unable to attend Momentum Conference 2012;
• Signed up for Church Camp 2012, but unable to attend as well; and more.
It was a very trying season back then as I’d get extremely paranoid whenever I feel any small aches in any part of my body..
Fast forward one year later.
• I’m serving my 7th month of National Service in the Air Force now.
• I’m leading a cell group now, after months of waiting and anticipation.
• I’m a discipling coordinator who oversees the discipling progress of certain individuals.
• I’m going for my very first Youth Camp in June.
(Which means I’ll be leaving Singapore for the second time in my whole life)
• I’m doing Children’s Worship; Kids’ Blast (which I’ll be teaching soon) for morning and evening services respectively.
• I’ll have to start attending Fun Factory to consolidate the kids every Saturday before TheEdge.
• I’m looking for night jobs to help support the family in any way possible. (Maybe tuition? I’ve managed to got some sort of a ‘lobang’ from a colleague and I’m excited to give it a try)
Firstly I’m really elated that I’m finally leading a cell group. I’m very excited about what God is going to do in my net; in each and every single individual member in my net; and the harvest that we’re going to bring! I’m also proud of myself telling people in my office that I’m a Net Leader, now I’ve to put up a good example to everywhere I go.
A few months later, I prayed to God that He’ll give me things to do for Him so that I’ll be able to put my mind off the unnecessary thoughts and stuff, and help in any way for His Kingdom.
Gosh sometimes when I look at the things I’m doing now.. I wondered if I asked God the right thing. But I’m just gonna go through with it because it’s for His Kingdom and it can’t go wrong!
Here’s to an awesome May ahead!
BE THOU EXALTED | New Life Worship
Be Thou my vision, be Thou my joy
My providence and my reward
Be Thou the wisdom that I employ
To trade my worth for Yours
Be Thou my refuge, be Thou my strength
Should my confession err
My heart shall whisper a sure amen
And trust Your every word
Be Thou exalted
Be Thou exalted, Jesus, forever
Be Thou exalted forever
Be Thou my passion, be Thou my zeal
That I may offer Thee
No great procession or vain appeal
But my sincerity
Hallelujah to the name of all names
Hallelujah, to our God be all praise
Ever holy, worthy
Be Thou exalted always
Such a beautiful song.
